Project Reflection
In this project, I have finished the "House" project in following steps.
1)Draw a draft of the house and separate rooms
2)Draw the wall in Revit according to the draft
3)Make the floors and fill in textures of the house
4)Draw a Toposurface for the house with a river
5)Make a stair connecting two floors
6) adding furniture
7) Doing adjustment
The most important thing I have learned in this project is how to use the program "Revit" more fluently. I explored Revit when designing the house and learned a lot of new function I did not know when designing garage such as making stairs and making a river. I think what i have done best is I have make a big space in hallway of the main door. It gives the other a feeling of huge and bright feeling. Creating this space need me to cut floors and separate walls and I think I have done it well. I loved watching the house in 3D view in different angles while I was working on and finished the house project and imagine how people will feel when they first see the house. I have spent a lot of time on make the staircase with a wall connecting the star and the floor. I have to shape the wall and do a lot of adjusting to make them look nice. I had to make a triangle walls in the end of the stair case and it took me a lot of time. Filling the texture frustrated me because the color I chose was difficult to see as its color is similar to the original color of the wall. It frustrated me as I was worried I have missed to fill the texture of somewhere and I filled wrong texture in wrong place. I have met my standard of the work as I have made a contrast between inside of the house and outside of the house and gives the other a feeling of bright and huge. Therefore, I think I have met the standard of myself. If I am the teacher, I would add more trees and component in the subsurface. There are not many component in the huge surface and make me a feeling of desolate.Next time I will not make the house in Square or rectangular shape and I will add more curve in the house.
